Happy 159th Birthday Knights of Pythias!

Pythian Awareness Week is the time to promote the Order to the public. Tell what we do in the practice of Friendship, Charity, and Benevolence and through Community Service. This is the opportunity for all to be acting in the same time frame.

We have in our rich history, President Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Lodge #2 successor to the first lodge. Three presidents were members, with Franklin D. Roosevelt becoming a Knight at the White House on the 69th anniversary of the founding, February 19, 1933.

The past decade since the week was recognized in 2012 has seen great expansion to Italy, England, and the Philippines, a lodge in Georgia, and accepting females, all in furtherance of a diverse order.

The week is also Pythian Recruitment Week for the opportunity to recruit, celebrate our history, and honor Pythian heroes, stars, and leaders.

Meet the challenge to increase our visibility and membership. Honor the 159th Anniversary, and take advantage of acting in concert to promote, recruit, and celebrate our great Order Knights of Pythias!
