Notice of 149th Annual Grand Lodge Convention
Brothers of the Grand Lodge, Knights of Pythias of MO & Pythians in Good Standing;
The 149th annual convention of the Grand Lodge, Knights of Pythias of MO. will be held at the Holiday Inn & Suites (North), 2720 N. Glenstone Avenue, Springfield, MO. on October 15-17, 2020. A Tentative schedule is as follows:
Thursday, October 15th – Registration (1:30-2:30PM); GL committees (1:30-3PM); Grand Council (3PM);
Fri. October 16th – 9 AM – Memorial Service; Open Business Session; Election/Installation of GL Officers
Saturday, October 17th – Resume and Conclude Business Session
A Block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel. The cut-off date for reservations is September 10, 2020. Each Lodge Secretary will collect room reservations from its’ members before the above date and transmit to the Grand Secretary – who will in turn transmit it to the hotel. The hotel provides a free breakfast (not Continental) for 2 persons staying in the same room, for the mornings of October 16 & 17. The room rate is $90.00 per night, which includes ALL taxes (please see Important Note below).
IMPORTANT NOTE: As previously determined, the Grand Lodge will cover the cost of lodging as follows – The Grand Lodge shall pay for all Grand Lodge members’ lodging (maximum 2 nights), except that a GL member bringing a spouse, significant other, non-Knight etc, or if staying alone (without GL member roommate) shall pay one nights’ lodging, and anyone not a MO. Grand Lodge member shall pay for all his own lodging.
The Registration Fee for Grand Lodge members and visiting Brothers (required in order to attend any business sessions) is $13.00. Please have your 2020 dues receipt with you, to verify you are a member in Good Standing (dues paid through 12/31/2020). ALL unpaid fees (hotel room, Registration fee & any additional meals) must be paid at registration table (located within the Santiago Room at hotel) at the Convention on October 15th. Specific times for events and meetings during the convention will be provided by E-mail at a later date. There will be a Hospitality Room, in the same room as last year (Grand Chancellor’s suite).
BANQUET: Thursday evening, October 15th at 6PM, in the Ranier Room – $25.00 per person, all taxes/gratuities included. Lodge secretaries will be asked to get a head count and payment at a later date. Menu is: CHOICE of Whiskey Sirloin; Parmesan Encrusted Chicken or Country Breaded Pork Chop; Vegetables, House Salad, Iced Tea, Coffee, Water and Dessert included. Our usual fundraising Auction will be after the Banquet – PLEASE bring items!!!
LUNCHEON: Friday October 16th, 12PM – in Ranier Room, $12.00 per person, all taxes & gratuities included. Lodge secretaries are to get a head count at a later date. The Menu is: CHOICE of Lasagna/Salad; ½ lb. Angus Cheeseburger/French Fries; or Traditional Chef Salad, all choices come with Iced Tea/Water and Chef’s choice of Dessert.

We have made some changes to assist our Brothers from Fraternal #14, as their largest fund-raiser of the year (Maple Leaf Festival) is on Saturday October 17th. All times are Tentative.
