Five Members Initiated in Emporia, KS

On February 15th, 2020, as part of Pythian Awareness Week, 11 Knights from Sicilian Lodge #39 and Grand Chancellor Larry Caudle of the Grand Domain of Missouri traveled to Emporia, Kansas to perform a 3-in-1 day ceremony rank work for five new members of the Order, including the long form rank of Knight. It was the first such use of the long form of Knight in the Domain of Missouri in the memories of those attending, and it was the first meeting of the Knights of Pythias in Kansas in nearly a decade. It is hoped that with such enthusiasm and interest as has been seen in the Emporia area for the Order, there may be a new lodge formed there in the near future. Sicilian Lodge #39 thanks Emporia Masonic Lodge #12 for the use of their building and their generous hospitality and enthusiastic support in the name of fraternity.
