Bro. Casey Pemberton, Immediate Past Grand Chancellor of Missouri, and Bro. David Castoe, Vice Chancellor of Sicilian Lodge #39, Knights of Pythias of Missouri, made the long trek across the bosom of the Show-Me State to St. Charles, Missouri, to address Brothers and Sister Stars of the common fraternal altar at St. Charles Lodge #241, AF&AM.

Like “knights-errant” of old searching out adventure and the opportunity to prove their chivalric bearing, our Brother Knights were warmly and graciously received with a chicken dinner feast prepared by Eastern Star Chapter #242 Alexander. After being well-supped, our Knights were beckoned forth to retell the story of Damon & Pythias – brethren of the Pythagorean order who famously each pledged their life for the other. After vividly recollecting the Grecian scene, from which our Pythian Order derives her name and ethos, and the many tales of noble deeds inspired in the American era of Pythian Knighthood since 1864, many a good man and woman in the room were thrilled at the opportunity to enroll under our banner!
We may well-expect our next lodge of Knights of Pythias of Missouri to be instituted in the City of St. Charles.
