Knights, Ladies and Interested Individuals,

Join the Knights of Pythias as we celebrate the Sesquicentennial of the formation of our Domain in Missouri. We are celebrating One Hundred Fifty years of avoiding anger and dissention, working together in the spirit of fraternity and exemplifying the friendship of Damon and Pythias and helping others and being a force for good in our communities.

We will gather for a short ceremony at the Pythian Castle at 1451 East Pythian Street (just south of Evangel University) in Springfield, Missouri at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 featuring a presentation by Bob Dixon, former State Senator and State Representative and the current Presiding Commissioner of Greene County, Missouri.

After the ceremony you are at liberty to take a tour of the historic Pythian Castle. Then, we will retire to the City Park in Republic, Missouri for a Pythian Grand Picnic beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the pavilion. Syracuse Lodge #437 Knights of Pythias will provide the meats for the picnic. Other attendees are urged to bring a covered dish to contribute to our picnic. There will be speakers and a program at the picnic, including further remarks from Presiding Commissioner Dixon.

Also, there will be a real live wedding ceremony at 2:30 p.m. presided over by our Grand Chancellor. We are planning to have fun activities and good food and fraternity. We hope that you will join us in celebrating our one hundred fifty years in Missouri!

With Peace, Fraternity and Celebration,
Dale Ray Roller
Grand Chancellor
